The month is now behind us, and so too are a range of new cards, offers, and fun travel bookings. I held off on major cash/like redemptions, so I’d say the volume of activity was generally lighter than is normal. Still good deals to be had, but this was primarily a banking-points month.
Rewards ($643 in February)
Most of this value was through booking of two trips for later this spring. I’m going to Nashville, Tennessee and Bogota, Colombia on the very-affordable, saving over $600 as a result of Delta airlines points redemptions. The extra exciting part here is the value on these redemption was really solid, at over 1.9 cents/point. These were mostly transferred from AMEX, and in this month I also saw the 70,000 points from a business checking account post, so I end with even more points than I started!
Offers ($153 in February)
The bulk of this is coming from a large Rakuten cash back offer posting (big purchase over Thanksgiving which took some time to be credited), as well as a few assorted smaller offers/promotions (20% off gas!) This month felt a bit light on the offers out there, so fingers crossed there’s better in the coming months.
Perks ($504 in February)
I pay some disgusting amount of annual fees, but a lot of that comes back in the form of discounts/credits. Between the new BILT Palladium’s $250 hotel credits and Delta Platinum’s $187 hotel credit, I took advantage of those to give myself some nice discounts for upcoming travel.
