There’s only one tool you need for award travel booking: Roame

It is clear that I am not loyal to any one airline or credit card or program. That’s great for flexibility, but less great for searching for and making bookings. Hunting across a half dozen sites is difficult, and makes finding the right arrangement difficult. A few years back I stumbled across a great web based search tool which everyone should have in their award booking kit. Roame. Why search ten times when you can search centrally across a range of airlines.

This is the Google Flights of award booking. Simple UI. Good functionality. Easy customization and ability to tailor and filter search to your needs. Want economy? Check that box. Want single connections? No problem. Even I have not upgraded to the paid version as the free functionality is more than enough for all my needs. S

This has been a key to my award bookings

Award availability changes frequently. This is true for good flights/deals (they often disappear) as well as new availability/options for flights you’re hoping to take. This is the single tool I use to stay on top of that and find the best deals.

The paid version adds some useful functionality

I opt for free, but the multi-day search + alerting tools feel like they would be helpful. Worth ~$110 a year? Actually maybe, but given I’m happy enough already, I’m going to hold off.

Hope you’re able to get some good value out of this yourself!
